Governor Andrew Cuomo signed legislation (S6768/A1842B)  on December 18, 2017 that strengthens education requirements for future registered nurses. This legislation will require registered nurses to attain a bachelor’s degree or higher in nursing within ten years of their initial licensure. In addition, the bill establishes a temporary commission to evaluate and report on barriers to entry into the nursing profession.

Please share the attached BS in 10 FAQs from NYONEL, the New York Organization of Nurse Executives and Leaders, with your colleagues who may have questions about the BS in 10 law.
