Your Support Needed - End On the Job Nurse Abuse
Posted over 5 years ago by Patricia Sadowski
Last month, ANA's (American Nurses Association) effort to pass federal legislation that would help end nurse abuse reached a milestone. Thanks to the thousands of nurse advocates who reached out to their elected officials, the House of Representatives passed the bill with bipartisan support.
This is a major win, but we’re not done yet. Now it’s the Senate’s turn to act, and with robust support from concerned nurses and patients nationwide, we have the momentum to make it happen.
You know the shocking statistics all too well: one in four nurses has experienced an incident of workplace violence and are more likely to face abuse on the job than police officers or prison guards.
We know the facts, and we know why this is so urgent. Make sure your Senators know it too by taking 30 seconds and delivering your message now.
Thank you for acting on this critical issue and doing so much to help move this campaign forward. Together, we will help end nurse abuse.
