Finger Lakes Occupational Health Services’ (FLOHS) multidisciplinary team is dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of occupational injury and disease; and meeting the needs of businesses and workers by helping reduce or prevent illness and injury in the workplace. FLOHS is a program of the Division of Occupational Medicine within the Department of Environmental Medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center.

Full Time:   40 hours

Schedule8 AM-4:30 PM

Responsibilities

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Provides patient care in collaboration with a member of medical staff. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) works in a collaborative relationship with a physician provider to oversee the care delivered to a patient population or program of services. The NP is responsible for direct patient care, documentation of care delivered, adherence to hospital and nursing policies, procedures and practice standards, education of patients and staff, assurance of service excellence, completion of state and hospital-required reviews of practice, and participation in performance improvement and other activities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

•    Master’s Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program required
•    Or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
•    Previous experience in occupational health nursing preferred.
•    Clinical competence for a mix of well, acute and chronic patients.
•    NP Certification, NYS license, DEA license required.
